Terms of Service

Last updated: October 19, 2026

License

Branchdial is open-source software released under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell copies of it, provided the copyright notice and license are included. The full text is in the LICENSE file.

No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from, out of or in connection with the software or its use.

Your commands, your responsibility

Branchdial types commands into a terminal on your behalf, and you are responsible for the git commands you run with it, including commands in recipes written by others. Review recipes before running them, especially ones that push, rewrite history or delete branches. Confirmations and safety checks reduce risk but cannot guarantee an outcome; keep backups of work you care about.

Name and logo

The MIT License covers the code. If you distribute a modified version, please give it a different name and icon so users can tell it apart.
